NPP Primaries: MP Begs for Endorsement on Day of Submission

Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Hon Benito Owusu Bio begging Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the  constituency to endorse his nomination forms  to enable him run for the fifth time on the party's ticket.

Hon Owusu Bio, who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural resources, officially filed and submitted his nomination papers on Tuesday 18th February, 2020 at the constituency.

Checks on the grounds reveals a looming danger, that has a tendency of costing Mr Owusu Bio, his seat as he struggled before getting some of the delegates endorsement on day  of submission.

The contest for the Atwima Nwabiagya North seat will be one to keep eyes on as two aspirants has picked their forms to unseat the near 16 years sitting Member of Parliament

The Parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is being characterized by confusion at various polling stations in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency as the polling executives are divided over the  endorsement of the incumbent Member of Parliament.

Youths in Atwima Nwabiagya North who loves the party believes Mr Owusu Bio has done nothing for the constituency and does not deserve their support this time.

Thomas Barrack: Top Trump aide accused of working as foreign agent

  Billionaire and long-time Donald Trump ally Thomas J Barrack have been arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly acting as an agent of a foreign government. The 74-year-old investment firm founder served as a key adviser to the former US president's 2016 campaign and was considered a top fundraiser. Mr. Barrack is accused of illegally lobbying on behalf of the United Arab Emirates during and after the campaign. A spokesman for Mr. Barrack said he planned to plead not guilty. He is the latest ex-Trump official to face federal charges. Mr. Barrack is charged with conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and making multiple false statements to the FBI during a 2019 interview. Record rainfall leaves over 120 dead in western Europe, devastating parts of Germany

  Catastrophic  flooding in  western Europe has killed more than 120 people, with hundreds more missing, authorities said Friday, as large-scale rescue efforts continue amidst rising water, landslides, and power outages. Shocking images of the devastation in Germany and Belgium showed entire villages underwater, with cars wedged in between collapsed buildings and debris. The Netherlands and Luxembourg have also been affected by extreme rainfall. In Germany, at least 105 people have been killed across two western states. In the hard-hit district of Ahrweiler, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, authorities told CNN that 1,300 people remained unaccounted for. "There is no end in sight just yet," Ulrich Sopart, a police spokesman in the city of Koblenz, told CNN.
