Subin NDC fires National, Regional executives over imposition of Parliamentary Candidate; root for Kwabena Owusu

The youth wing of Subin Constituency of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has fired the National and Regional executives over the imposition of parliamentary candidate
According the youth, the party wants to deny their right to elect the possible candidate who can help the NDC in Subin especially the youth.

At the media briefing by the youth at Asafo, Collins Cobbinah who led them indicated that the Regional Chairman, regional secretary and the youth organizer have decided to bring one Mohammed Mutala Abubakar as parliamentary candidate for Subin constituency.
“The preferred choice of the regional executive is not even a resident of Subin but Asawase, who in the year 2018 contested for Asawase chairman and lost woefully by galvanizing only seven votes. Why then do you want to force such a person on us” he said
Mr. Cobbinah noted, it is against the party’s principles and it is unacceptable.
“This is unacceptable and cannot happen in our constituency. Where lies the trust in this man? As if the regional executives want to tell us that Subin NDC do not have the men. We do not trust their preferred choice considering the fact that he does not live in the constituency” he added

He opined that the NDC wants to depart from the democratic dispensation in the party. Asking the executives to give a fair playing field to all the aspirants particularly to those the party members want.

They also blame the General Secretary Mr. Johson Asiedu Nketia and the Member of Parliament for Asawase for their role in securing the seat for an unknown man in the constituency.

Speaking at press confab, Collins Cobbinah revealed that the Subin Constituency party members have settled on one Mr. Kwabena Owusu former Independent Candidate of Subin.

They observed that he has achieved a lot in the constituency and can help the party to win the seat.

The youth indicated they will reject any attempt by the party to impose any candidate on them.
