‘I have found the light’ – Wendy Shay joins Moesha down ‘repentance lane’

Wendy Shay has disclosed her new status as a born-again Christian and promised to preach the gospel. She intends to start with her massive social media following.

Songstress Wendy Shay revealed, in an interview with Okay FM, that she has found her true calling after a few turbulent years. She explained that she found herself after she had an encounter with Jesus Christ during her dark years. She said, “I have found the light, Jesus Christ is the way, truth, and light, and if you find him and entrust everything to him, things will fall in the right place.”

“I have now redeemed myself. You know the relationship with God has so many levels, I am not the closest to God.

But I am in a level where I trust God entirely as He has shown me his grace and power.”
According to Wendy Shay, she plans to use her celebrity status to spread the gospel to all corners of the world. She said, “My platform is not just for my music. I have 2.3 million followers on Instagram, 1.6 million on Facebook, and 1 million on Twitter. I have started preaching on my social media pages. When I came back from Germany, I wasn’t a believer, but now, I am closer to God, and I want to bring my fans to Him too.”

Two staff at Office of Special Prosecutor investigated for stealing fuel

Martin Amidu, Speacial Prosecutor Two employees of the Office of the Special Prosecutor have been indicted for allegedly stealing fuel. Accountant, Peter Owusu Afriyie and Secretary to the Special Prosecutor’s office, Joseph Dasanah, drew almost ¢10,000 worth of fuel monthly even though they are not entitled to it, JoyNews has sighted a memo. A memo from the then acting Head of Investigations, Julius Zodanu, to the Special Prosecutor, detailed how Joseph Dasanah –Amidu’s secretary, and an accountant, both signed for fuel coupons even though, as unconfirmed staff on secondment, neither of them was entitled to it. Bird flu hits Accra, Volta and Central Regions

The Food and Agriculture Ministry through its Veterinary Services Directorate has confirmed the outbreak of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease, otherwise known as Bird flu in some parts of the country. These are the Greater Accra, Central, and Volta Regions. The outbreak of the disease follows the detection of similar cases in neighboring countries since January 2021. The Ministry in a press statement said “Through effective surveillance and disease control management, the Veterinary Services Directorate has prevented the extension of the disease into Ghana until now.” Cases of the Bird Flu disease were previously recorded in 2007, 2015, 2016 and 2018, with a significant economic impact on affected poultry farmers.
