COVID-19:FY 2020 supports Institutions and youth in Atwima Nwabiagya North

As part of social intervention measures to minimize the risk of Coronavirus(COVID-19), the aspiring Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North Mr Frank Yeboah(FY 2020), has presented some items to institutions within the constituency. They are Barekese Market, Dabaa Hospital, Adankwame police, Wurapon Community Health Center, Abira Health Center, Adankwame youth, Asuofua Market, Atwima Koforidua Market, Koforidua youth, Barekese fufuo, Mount Sinai Hospital Koforidua, Akropong Police station, Akropong Health Center, Asuofua Health Center, Asuofua Police station, Barekese police station and Barkese Health Center. Gambia Massacre: Victims File Case Against Yahya Jammeh at Gambia’s TRRC

Families of Ghanaians who were murdered in The Gambia in 2005 have filed submissions to the Gambia Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) demanding that Yahya Jammeh and the ‘Junglers’ must be brought to justice and compensation paid to the families and survivors. In separate affidavit evidence they filed and notarized in Ghana and dispatched to the TRRC in The Gambia this week, the victims’ families recounted the torture they have been going through since they became aware of the unlawful killing and enforced disappearances of their family members in 2005. The filing of the affidavit evidence comes after three members of the “Junglers” testified before the TRRC that they participated in the killing of the Ghanaians and other West African migrants on the orders of Yahya Jammeh. GAMBIA MASSACRE: SURVIVOR DOUBTS REMAINS REBURIED AT OSU WERE GHANAIANS

Martin Kyere A survivor of the massacre of about 44 Ghanaians in the Gambia has cast doubts on the remains of the eight Ghanaians that were reburied at the Osu Cemetery in 2009 claiming they are not the actual remains of the Ghanaians who were killed and buried in a mass grave in the Gambia in 2005. Martin Kyere, a survivor and spokesperson for the victims’ families of the Gambian massacre during a witness account in Kumasi on 24th February, 2020 based his doubts on the fact that no DNA testing was conducted on the remains that were exhumed from a mass grave in the Gambia in 2009, nearly four years after the mass burial in the Gambia, and reburied at the Osu Cemetery. He also said, there was a heavy stench around the coffins containing the eight bodies when they were brought to the funeral grounds at the forecourt of the State House, adding the coffins were not opened. NPP Primaries: MP Begs for Endorsement on Day of Submission

NPP Primaries:MP Ask Delegates to Swear to Deity That They Will Vote for Him

Hon Bio Some delegates of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency are cautioning their Member of Parliament, Hon Benito Owusu Bio against voting buying and forcing delegates to swear to deities and has vowed to avert it this time, as it would not promote internal democracy in the party. According to them the alleged decision of the incumbent MP to offer money to delegates and compel them to swear to a deity to cast their votes for them during the forthcoming Parliamentary primaries is unfortunate and against the rules and regulation of the party. Media Assault: Journalists Petition GJA over gross misconduct and abuse of office by Ashanti NSS Boss

Journalists in Ashanti Region, led by Mr. Kwaku Adu Gyamfi have petitioned the Ghana Journalist Association over a  misconduct of the Ashanti Regional Director of National Service Scheme, Mr. Alex Opoku Mensah aka Omens following a deliberate intimidation and verbal assault on one Gideon Peprah [Nana Peprah] a journalist service personnel who works with GNA. Some irritated service personnel had  expressed their grievances to  the victim to make a publication on a four to five month delayed payment of allowances and purported text messages inviting them for killer interest rate loans by NSS. The NSS Boss resisted all attempts to give his account to the GNA reporter so he undertook the publication. DON'T PAY FOR GH CARD, ITS FREE-OFORIKROM DRO

The Oforikrom District Registration Officer(DRO) of the National Identification Authority, Mr Kwame Owusu Bampoe has said the Ghana Card is free for Ghanaians in the first instance.  However, if you want to register by appointment as an institution or family, you will be required to pay a fee to be determined by the Authority.  Also, renewals and replacements of lost or stolen cards will also attract a fee. The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that, persons requiring a replacement of their national identification card, will be charged at a fee. According to the Authority persons who misplace or damage their cards will be required to report to any nearby office of the NIA, pay the stipulated fee, demand for a receipt and have the card replaced.
