We’ll uproot you like cassava in 2020 - Angry residents tell ‘disrespectful’ NPP MP

Kennedy Kankam, Nhyiaeso MP
It appears the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso constituency in the Ashanti region Kennedy Kankam has certified his exit warrant as a legislator if what the livid residents of the area are saying is anything to go by.

They are already warning the NPP to consider replacing another candidate for the 2020 polls threatening to uproot him like cassava if he is retained because in their view he is very disrespectful and arrogant.

Expressing their dissatisfaction over his handling of issues at constituency, they have reiterated a call on him to pave way for a new candidate, who has vision and fresh ideas, to contest on the ticket of the party in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

Some residents at Nhyiaeso Constituency especially residents of Patasi have complained bitterly about Kennedy Kankam’s bad attitude towards them in the constituency describing him as very disrespectful.

Residents of Patasi in an interview with Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo complained about lack of development and are incensed about the comments of the MP in respect of the collapsing Patasi bridge that poses danger to the lives of commuters.

“We called our MP Hon Kennedy Kankam about the death trap bridge in our community and he talked to us anyhow on the phone without finding solution to the problem. He begged us to vote for him but Kennedy Kankam is becoming unbecoming. His attitude towards us is very bad. He deserves not to be a Member of Parliament. We will vote skirt and blouse in 2020 elections because we won’t let disrespectful Kennedy Kankam to lead us in parliament again” they threatened.

According to the angry residents led by Assemblyman for Patasi Electoral Area Patrick Akwasi Appiah, the bridge has become a death trap especially in the wake of heavy downpours, a situation that needs an urgent attention from duty bearers.

He appealed to government, Member of Parliament for the constituency Kennedy Kankam to come to their aid by fixing the bridge.
